Dr Alison Allen-Hall

A Jamaican organisational theorist, executive coach, consultant and creator of Organisational Cohesion Architecture.

Practice and intellectual location

Caribbean and Black diasporic foundations

Alison's organisational thinking is grounded in Caribbean and Black diasporic intellectual traditions and sharpened through extensive practice with US public and mission-driven institutions.

She is a Certified Narrative Coach whose executive coaching practice centres women of colour in senior leadership. Her coaching attends to the interplay of authority, identity, institutional power and organisational consequence, alongside the judgement, ambition and range leaders seek to exercise.

Her inquiry examines the relationships among personhood, power, history, institutional inheritance and the organisational conditions through which collective life is made. It treats informal relation and improvisation as intelligence while asking what architectural failures or unequal burdens they may be compensating for.

LynxSᴱ is deepening its relationships across the Caribbean while remaining open to consequential engagements across geographies.

The guiding lens

A single action can change a world.

Present choices are assessed through the conditions they create, the worlds they make possible and the capacity they leave available to those who come next.

Seven-generation thinking brings immediate function into relationship with accumulated consequence. It asks what a decision protects, what it dismantles, what wholeness it constructs and who will inherit its architecture.

Modes of inquiry and action

01

Paradigm change

Changing the ideas through which a condition becomes visible and actionable.

02

Relational infrastructure

Designing the relationships through which judgement and responsibility can move coherently.

03

Interpretive literacy

Reading pattern, power, history, burden and consequence without reducing the field.

04

Accountability

Remaining answerable for immediate function, transferred cost and future capacity.

05

Architectural design

Building structures, rhythms, roles and pathways capable of sustaining wholeness.

LynxSᴱ

An organisational home for thought and practice

LynxSᴱ brings together Dr Alison Allen-Hall's developing thought, consequential practice and commissioned contribution. It holds OCA's developing public canon, the engagements through which it is tested and extended, and the writing through which its concepts become referenceable.

The Thesis of Us remains the deeper originating inquiry and will have its own home as that wider inquiry develops.
